Application of laboratory balance in displacement experiment of oil exploitation industry

introduction

In the process of oilfield development, it is generally said that the oil recovery method using the natural energy exploitation of the reservoir is primary oil recovery. After a single oil recovery, the oil displacement method of increasing the pressure of the oil layer by flooding or non-miscible gas injection and repelling the crude oil in the oil layer is called secondary oil recovery. Tertiary oil production refers to the development of tailings production oil using physical, chemical, and biological new technologies after oilfields use natural energy for mining and traditional artificially supplemented energy (water injection and gas injection). In order to evaluate the performance of the composite flooding system, a systematic evaluation method was established and improved. The schematic diagram of the core flooding experimental procedure is as follows.


Figure 1 Flow chart of core flooding experiment: The effluent collector in the figure mainly measures the amount of liquid inflow continuously and requires statistical total accumulation. Therefore, the measurement of this part plays an important role in the whole experiment.

Problems before the electronic balance online measurement application program

The metering system continuously discharges the liquid, and the personnel are required to record the amount of the liquid to be discharged continuously at different time intervals, and then calculate the cumulative amount, and this part of the data is manually recorded, and the recorder needs to be input again later. The software performs the calculation of the final experimental data. Therefore, there are many operation steps, and the measurement part cannot be directly connected with the software of the displacement test instrument, and the report of the unified and complete format cannot be provided.

Use of Sartorius balance online metering program

In order to complete the data acquisition and calculation of the metering system online at one time, the Sartorius BSA223S and BSA2202S balances were used to measure the oil and the driven water online for real-time measurement, and the data was fed back to the recorder software to complete the calculation of the final experimental data. The whole process of the program is: first add a part of the electronic balance data acquisition and calculation program under the original recorder software, the program code is in accordance with Sartorius BSA223S type and BSA2202S type balance data communication protocol. Then, during the experiment, the sampling measurement time is set, and the electronic balance feeds the collected data back to the recorder software. Finally, the software records all the data in different time periods, and inserts the software formula to calculate the recovery result that is finally required by the experiment.

Application effect

After using the electronic balance online real-time metering and discharging liquid quantity scheme, the operator operates according to the recorder software setting requirements, and after setting the sampling time interval, the experiment is directly started, and the manual volume is not required to record the liquid volume, thereby improving the work quality. Figure 4 shows the amount of flooding fluid collected after the implementation of the scheme.

Sartorius' high-quality balances and compatible software communication protocols guarantee the accuracy of metering and the convenience of data statistics. The application of this program also provides new ideas for other oilfield mining experiments in the future.
