In any type of mechanical grinding process, the operator often encounters a headache problem - high-intensity mechanical shear forces generate heat, the sample is removed from the low temperature , the frozen water returns to a liquid state, and the sample begins. It is viscous and even has good fluidity. As the grinding action enters the nose of the instrument, it causes corrosion and damage.

To this end, IKA recommends that scientists use a unique tube disperser control type, UTTD control , with a 50 ml capacity ball mill. In this solution, the sample is still frozen using liquid nitrogen or dry ice as before. After the liquid nitrogen or dry ice has evaporated, the sample is poured into the spheroid tube and placed on the UTTD to start grinding. Because the ball mill can be used as a disposable supply, cross-contamination can be easily avoided and fruit and vegetable samples can be perfectly ground. More importantly, the UTTD's diversion trough can guide the accidental outflow of the sample to the outside of the fuselage, and will not corrode the machine head . It is an ideal assistant for related research!

Please note: In order to prolong the service life, when there is a sample inadvertently flow out, stop grinding immediately and clean the instrument before use.
