Feeding of parental breeder ducks during brooding

As the breeding scale of breeding ducks continues to expand, the requirements for rearing of breeding ducks continue to increase. In order to increase the production efficiency of the parent duck farm and increase the production index of the duck, it is necessary to strengthen the breeding and management of the breeding duck from the beginning of the brooding period. There is an inseparable relationship between the breeding ability of breeding ducks and feeding and management during the brooding period. The management work relationship during the brooding period will lead to the production benefit of the breeding ducks in the future. The author summarizes the brooding work for ducks and is presented as follows:

Preparing for brooding

Check the equipment to ensure normal operation. Prepare feed, medicines, and vaccines. Preheating 24 hours in advance, litter temperature 29°C-31°C, ambient temperature 24°C-26°C, duck back temperature 33°C-35°C.

Duckling

When the ducklings arrive at the site, all the broilers involved immediately unload the car at the fastest speed, move the ducklings into the house and put them into the fence as planned. Pay attention to distinguish between male and female, do not stack a single box swing. Immediately after the unloading was completed, the seedlings were released. When taking care of the seedlings, take precautions and take care to prevent the death of the ducklings. Pick the dead and the youngsters and record them on the cover. Place the empty box in the corner of the circle. At the same time as the seedlings were released, they were measured for weight, and each box was weighed and recorded. After the ducklings are released, ducklings should be trained to drink water immediately. Keep the water tray away from the water tray, place the mouth in the water, and let go. At the same time, move the packing box out of the duck house, check with the original placement plan, and count the dead chicks and brooders, and make records. According to the specific situation of ducks drinking water, add drinking water in time to ensure that there is water in each water tray, and the water level is appropriate. The first 3 days of drinking water to add nutrients and antibiotics. During the breeding process of the entire breeder duck, the principle of “feeding after feeding first, and not feeding without water” must be observed.

Ducklings drinking water

Drinking water first helps promote intestinal peristalsis, absorb residual egg yolks, eliminate meconium, and increase appetite, especially for ducklings transported over long distances, which can effectively supplement the moisture lost during transportation. 1. Provide 16 to 25 °C warm water (7 days -10 days), the water container is covered to prevent contamination. 2. Drinking water plus nutritional medicines such as glucose and drugs. 3. Make sure that all drinking fountains have clean drinking water so that the feed can begin 4 hours later. 4. Drinking water equipment is cleaned and disinfected every 2 hours. 5. Disinfectant wash bucket once/day. 6. Help guide ducklings to drink water and provide water for 24 hours.

Duckling feeding

1. Drink water for 3 hours to 4 hours. Sprinkle the feed and sprinkle it on a cloth or a food plate to induce ducklings to eat. 2. Feeding times: 3 times - 4 times/day in the first week, 3 times/day in the second week, 2 times/day in the third week, and 1 time/day in the fourth week. 3. According to the amount of feed accurately weighed and adjusted according to the actual situation. 4. After 16 days, the feed can be sprinkled on the ground (the beginning portion is scattered around the cloth, and after 21 days, it is sprinkled on the ground). 5. Weak and sick ducks were found to be managed separately in time.

House temperature and humidity

The ducklings have short hair and poor body temperature regulation, so temperature management is critical. After entering the room, the temperature should be adjusted to 33°C-35°C, then lowered by 0.5°C every day until it is maintained at 18°C-22°C. The temperature control needs to be strict, but it is not possible to observe only the reading of the thermometer. It is important to observe the distribution of the duck population. It is advisable to use "stars". Gathering shows that the temperature is low or there is a thief; the temperature deviation from the heat source is indicated. In addition, in the immune or illness should be appropriately increased temperature, and pay attention to the temperature within the house to try to maintain a uniform and constant, consistent in different regions, the temperature difference between day and night should not exceed 3 °C. In the first 3 days, the indoor humidity was controlled at 65%-70%, and then the humidity was controlled at 50%-55%.
