Product installation and usage instructions

This product consists of a collection funnel, a collection tube and a collection cap. The cell preservation solution sealed by the plastic film in the funnel cover can be stored at room temperature for a long time after being mixed with the saliva, and the saliva sample DNA is not damaged. The base portion is a saliva collection tube that stores 2 ml of saliva. After collecting, press the funnel cover to mix the saliva with the preservation solution. Then cover the small cover of the collection tube, and shake it tightly.

Acquisition step

1 Wash the contents of the mouth with drinking water within 30 minutes before collecting the saliva sample.

2 Use the tip of the tongue to reach the upper or lower molar root to enrich the saliva, and gently spit the saliva into the collection hole until the liquid saliva (non-bubble) reaches the 2ml mark height.

3 Hold the saliva collection tube so that it is upright and use the other hand to assist in unscrewing the red tube cap of the cell preservation solution.

4 Pour the cell preservation solution into the collection funnel and keep it upright so that the preservation solution flows completely into the collection tube.

5 Keep the collection tube in an upright position and carefully unscrew the collection tube from the collection tube funnel.

6 Tighten the collection tube with a small lid on the cell preservation tube.

7 Reverse the collection tube upside down 5 times, mix the cell preservation solution thoroughly, and discard the used collection funnel and cell preservation solution tube.

Taboos and precautions

1 Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum 30 minutes before collecting saliva samples;

2 Most people take 2-5 minutes to collect saliva samples according to the above steps;

3 Before starting to collect saliva, please relax your cheeks and gently massage your cheeks with your fingers for 15-30 seconds to produce saliva.

4 The sample of saliva collected requires no debris and no sputum;

5 Confirm that the outer packaging of the saliva sample collection tube is intact, check the cell preservation liquid tube, and confirm that there is no leakage;

6 At room temperature storage conditions, the saliva samples collected by this product can be stably stored for 12 months. During the shelf life, high-quality high-molecular-weight DNA fragments can be isolated. Due to individual differences in samples, the shelf life of different samples fluctuates.
