First, the background Sludge is a by-product of sewage treatment. It contains a mixture of various colloids, organic matter and inorganic substances. The untreated sludge has complex components. In addition to containing ash, it also contains a large amount of organic matter and refractory organic matter. A variety of trace elements, pathogenic microorganisms, parasitic eggs, heavy metals and salts. The sewage and sludge systems are complex and have many interference components, which brings certain difficulties to the analysis. Therefore, the method of removing impurities and other components is required to be reasonable and effective, and because the target compound content is low (usually at the trace or ultra-trace level), to ensure the sensitivity of the analytical method, the impurity-removing method is required for the target research group. The safety of the fractions is due to the fact that the conventional drying method has a certain destructive effect on some of the research components. Therefore, the vacuum freeze-drying technique is considered to be an effective method for drying sludge and is applied to such research. The product is dispensed into the container to have a certain surface area to thickness ratio. The surface area is larger and the thickness is smaller. The large surface area is conducive to sublimation, and the thickness of the product is not conducive to sublimation. Generally, the thickness of the package is not more than 10mm. Pre-freezing can be carried out in an ultra-low temperature freezer. (2) The first stage is analytically dry. This stage is mainly sublimation drying. It is generally believed that the proper pressure of the freeze-drying box is between 0.1 and 0.3 mbar. In this pressure range, it is beneficial to the transfer of heat and the sublimation. (3) The second stage is dry. Once the product has been sublimed, the drying of the product enters the second stage. At this stage, although there is no frozen ice in the product, there is still about 10% of water in the product. In order to make the product reach the qualified residual moisture content, the product must be further dried. At this stage, the temperature of the product is rapidly increased to the maximum allowable temperature of the product and maintained at this temperature until the end of lyophilization. Rapidly increasing the temperature of the product helps to reduce the residual moisture content of the product and shorten the time for desorption drying. The allowable temperature of the product depends on the type of product. Fourth, the conclusion 1. Freeze-drying method can greatly shorten the sample detection cycle without causing loss of volatile elemental mercury. 2. After lyophilization, the uniformity of the sludge is better and the sample is more representative. 3.
