The Ministry of Finance recently issued a notice to make it clear that on the basis of the existing 14 central government subsidized insurance types such as rice, corn, wheat, etc., the sugar crops will be included in the scope of subsidies for central agricultural insurance premiums, and the existing subsidies for central agricultural insurance premiums will be subsidized. The insurance subsidy area has expanded to the whole country.

The notice made it clear that the central government will increase the level of agricultural insurance protection, cover the direct materialization costs of agricultural production, and negotiate with the insurance company on insurance coverage such as insurance coverage and premiums according to the law of marketization. For premiums that increase due to the coverage of direct materialization costs, the central government will give premium subsidies based on current regulations. For the guaranteed part above the direct materialization cost, a certain percentage of premium subsidies may be provided locally.
