West Pate successfully developed "ExR510 portable laser Raman spectrometer"

On November 26, 2017, the China Instrument and Meter Industry Association organized an expert in Beijing to identify the “ExR510 Portable Laser Raman Spectrometer” developed by Xipaite (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd.

Since the beginning of 2016, Sipat has been working on the development of a portable laser Raman spectrometer. In August 2017, the ExR510 portable laser Raman spectrometer was successfully developed. After the development of ExR510, West Pate was not eager to push to the market, but humbly listened to experts and users. The China Instrument and Meter Industry Association was commissioned by West Pate and organized relevant experts to identify the ExR510 developed by West Pate. The director of the appraisal committee was Li Changhou, and the expert committee members were Zhang Yuxue, Sun Suqin, Liu Yulong, Yin Lihui, Han Nanyin and Yan Jiapeng. China Instrument and Instrument Industry Association Yan Zengxu and Zheng Chaosong attended the appraisal meeting.

The experts of the appraisal committee listened to the development report, self-test report, test report, new report and user use report of the ExR510 project team; watched the live demonstration of the instrument, consulted the relevant drawings and experimental test materials, and conducted questions and defenses. The ExR510 portable laser Raman spectrometer was unanimously approved. Moreover, the experts of the appraisal committee believe that the ExR510 has reached the international leading level in terms of sensitivity (signal-to-noise ratio) and resolution.

The basic requirements and main objectives of the analytical test work are to obtain accurate and reliable analytical test data. For Raman spectroscopy, it is especially important to eliminate the fluorescent background and noise reduction technology. WestPat has patented technology with independent intellectual property rights in this respect. . According to reports, the main innovation of ExR510, its software innovation technology is more conspicuous. For example, “the Raman fluorescence background is eliminated based on the fluorescence fade effect difference method”, that is, the difference between fluorescence and Raman response with time is utilized, and the fluorescence fading effect (or fluorescent bleaching phenomenon) is used to find the component that represents the fluorescence response (microelement composition). ), through inverse difference calculation (integral calculation), separate (find) the fluorescent background components in the spectrum, eliminate background interference in the spectrum, and obtain pure Raman spectrum. The deconvolution resolution enhancement algorithm for unified kernel functions is designed and implemented using a unified kernel function to complete deconvolution. By deconvolution and reconstruction steps, peak distortion and secondary peak generation due to different peak broadening are strictly suppressed, and the resolution is significantly improved.

In addition, West Pate has its own unique place in the design of Raman probes and external light paths. For example, Raman probes with high collection efficiency are designed for 785 semiconductor lasers. With different sampling holders, samples can be detected for solid, liquid or powder samples. 6Abs' optical interference filter effectively ensures the filtering of Rayleigh signals, and the compact optical structure design makes it easier to achieve Raman spectroscopy.

Three user usage reports were issued at the appraisal meeting, and ExR510 was used to conduct on-site analysis and detection of hazardous chemicals and rapid detection of drug packaging materials. The results show that ExR510 can meet the needs of on-site rapid detection in related fields.

At the end of the appraisal meeting, the committee experts also made suggestions. If the ExR510 is a portable instrument, it should carry out tests on extreme environmental conditions and vibration as soon as possible, as well as the construction of a dedicated professional database. Experts suggest that WestPat should further optimize and improve the performance of the ExR510 and put it into mass production as soon as possible to meet the needs of the domestic and international markets.
